I recently had occasion to search the internet for an inexpensive plasma T.V. I found one, it was priced
"to good to be true" so I looked into it and sent the seller an email.
I immediately got back the message that is included below. It was returned to me right away and seemed like a form message so I dug a little.
Bill recommended that I use EscrowSTD.com to insure that my purchase was not fraudulent.
OK, so start looking there.
I looked at the 'whois' record, provided below, and it appeared that the
domain 'escrowstd.com' was only registered a few days ago. NOT GOING TO
USE THEM.
I sent a message to 'Bill' telling him that this was suspicious. He did
not reply. The item was removed from Amazon.com within a few minutes.
The same Item came back on the site within a half an hour. It was priced a little higher but not much. Same person?
Escrow accounts are a good idea for large purchases on the internet. Fake and fraudulent Escrow services are wide-spread. Do your homework and don't be ripped off!
